The Jalisco region in Mexico, with its remarkable flora and fauna, rich culture and impressive history, is the subject of museum JAPI. We created unique experiential worlds where families and school groups explore together. For a day, they become adventurers, time travellers, artists and athletes.
In the virtual Cloud Forest you play with time, scale and space. Tiny creatures grow large, shy animals appear, day and night, rain and sun flash past. Having direct influence on the environment encourages visitors to keep wanting to discover more. The gradual unfolding of a playful journey sparks natural curiosity.
A boat is a time machine, to take you through the history of Lake Chapala: the first signs of life, the first people, conflict and growth. A simple act like rowing transforms visitors from spectators into participants. Keeping restless children engaged and focused on the story.
The museum's generous layout accommodates large groups, families and school classes alike. The emphasis is on doing things together. Create an artwork with fellow visitors in the style of Wixarika artists, or follow in the footsteps of famous Jalisco athletes and practise the right moves with your team.
